On May 5, the Hua Ren Golf Association (HRGA) brought the annual Gala & the 4th Play Fore the Kids golf event announcement to Hilton Hotel at Markham. This year’s gala dinner is a charity event and promised to pay special tribute to our young golfers.

About the 4th Play Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament
80 or more players will play at the Cherry Down Golf Course in the Stroke Play Format. There will be a $1000 cash prize for the top 3 players.
Golf Future Star Scholarship
HRGA committee board members are setting up the Canadian Chinese Junior “Future Star” golf scholarship. HRGA frequently conducts fund raising event for the scholarship through various charity golf events. A 3rd party independent screening committee that consist of 7members, including the top 3 players from the stroke play tournament will be formed. The ceremony of a donation will be arranged for the top 3 players to contribute their prize to the Junior Golf Scholarship.

May 20th, 2017 Hua Ren Golf Play Fore Kids Charity Golf tournament will be a milestone charity golf event in GTA Toronto. Enthusiastic golfers from all channels of life have formed their respective teams, Politicians, Media Professionals, Ladies, Business Elites, and Professional Elites, to participate in this meaningful charity golf tournament, the 3rd Annual Play Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament.
History
Play Fore Kids Golf Tournament was first started by Canadian Chinese Junior Golf Association (CCJGA) on July 6, 2014. CCJGA is a Canadian Federal registered non-profit organization, which was founded in 2012 and became youth division of Hua Ren Golf Association (HRGA) in 2015. CCJGA and HRGA board members together with other volunteers organize various golf-related activities, such as educational seminars, training, and tournament, with a mission to “develop golf sports within Chinese Canadian Community.
12+12 Campaign
Thanks to the head coach Frank Ford of CCJGA, the project 12+12 Campaign was launched: to organize juniors around the age of 12 to play 12-holes golf regularly. Every group of junior players are accompanied by an adult volunteer player, with the adult player to provide on-course guidance and feedback for juniors to improve technique skills while playing.
